He has skied on several different continents with over 2500 days on snow, Voted Ontario’s Course Conductor-of-the-Year twice, Andrew has delivered over 200+ certification courses, and certified over 1800 new instructors.
He hopes to share his passion for the sport in many ways. Andrew is best known for the ski instruction he provides on snow and is actually spent nearly three decades building a reputation as a highly respected instructor and course conductor. He is intuitively able to combine the art and science of skiing to design simple strategies unique to each individual student that lead to significantly improved performance for skiers at all levels.

What is SkiCademy?
SkiCademy is a modern skier development ecosystem designed to help recreational skiers progress with more clarity, confidence, and consistency.
It is not a replacement for skiing with your favourite instructor.
It’s the system that helps skiers get more out of:
- their lessons,
- practice time,
- coaching,
- and overall skiing journey.
At its core, SkiCademy is an engineered progression pathway built to connect the dots between instruction, understanding, and long-term skier development.
Why SkiCademy Exists
Most skiers don’t struggle because they lack motivation.
They struggle because skier development is often fragmented.
A skier might:
- take a lesson one weekend,
- watch random videos online the next,
- ski with friends after that,
- then wonder why improvement feels inconsistent.
The issue isn’t effort.
The issue is the absence of a structured development system.
SkiCademy was built to solve that problem.
Built by a Lifetime Ski Educator
SkiCademy was founded by Andrew Elsdon, a lifelong ski professional with decades of experience in skier development, instruction, coaching, and instructor training.
Andrew has been a member of the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance since 1984 and has dedicated his career to understanding how recreational skiers actually learn and improve.
His background includes:
- Full-time ski instructor, coach, and trainer
- Former CSIA Ontario Level 1 Coordinator
- Delivered 200+ certification courses
- Two-time Ontario Course Conductor of the Year recipient
- Decades of experience developing both skiers and instructors
Through years of teaching, Andrew recognized a recurring issue:
Most skiers were not lacking effort.
They were lacking a clear progression pathway.
SkiCademy was created to provide that structure.
SkiCademy Helps Skiers Progress Intentionally
Instead of random tips and disconnected drills, SkiCademy gives skiers:
- a progression pathway,
- skill sequencing,
- movement understanding,
- terrain tactics,
- coaching frameworks,
- and developmental clarity.
It helps skiers understand:
what to work on,
why it matters,
and what comes next.
The result is more efficient improvement and fewer wasted seasons repeating the same habits.
SkiCademy Works With Great Instruction
Great ski instructors remain one of the most important parts of skier development.
SkiCademy enhances that process.
When skiers understand:
- balance,
- edging,
- rotary movements,
- pressure control,
- timing,
- terrain adaptation,
- and ski performance principles,
they become:
- more coachable,
- more aware,
- more intentional,
- and better able to retain improvements.
SkiCademy acts as the framework between lessons.
The instructor guides the skier.
The system accelerates the progression.
The SkiCademy Development Ecosystem
SkiCademy is being built as a complete skier development ladder with multiple levels of support and transformation.
Build Consistent Momentum
Transform from a skier who feels stuck, inconsistent, or overwhelmed into a skier with year-round direction, clearer understanding, and steady progression through guided education, community, and structured development.
1. Memberships
Build Consistent Momentum
This is the foundation layer.
Members gain:
- weekly curated content,
- progression insights,
- skill breakdowns,
- guided resources,
- community discussions,
- podcasts,
- videos,
- and ongoing skier education.
The goal is to create:
- consistency,
- momentum,
- understanding,
- and connection to a like-minded skiing community.
Instead of skiing improving only a few weekends per year, members stay mentally engaged year-round.
turn consistency into momentum and lasting progression
2. Online Courses
Achieve Structured Mastery
For skiers who want deeper transformation, SkiCademy offers topic-specific online courses.
Transform from having a surface-level understanding of skiing concepts into a precise, in-depth command of specific skills and performance areas through structured breakdowns, focused drill progressions, and applied learning that shows exactly how each element works in real skiing environments.
These are designed around:
- guided progression,
- challenge-based learning,
- structured frameworks,
- movement application,
- and measurable milestones.
Rather than passive content consumption, courses are built to create implementation and accountability.
Examples may include:
- carving mastery,
- mogul skiing,
- steep terrain confidence,
- ski performance fundamentals,
- movement analysis,
- or tactical skiing systems.
The purpose is simple:
turn understanding into repeatable performance.
3. VIP On-Snow Camps
Unlock Rapid Skill Growth
The highest tier of the SkiCademy ecosystem.
Transform from a skier searching for answers into a skier with clarity, confidence, and control through a white-glove, concierge coaching experience built entirely around your development on snow.
This is not a traditional camp.
It is a highly curated performance experience where every run, every drill, and every piece of feedback is intentional and outcome-driven.
Participants ski with some of the most respected professionals in Canadian ski development — including elite coaches, top instructors and trainers, former Demonstration Team members, and former Olympians who remain deeply engaged in coaching and progression.
Each experience integrates:
- precise, individualized coaching
- real-time technical feedback
- terrain-driven skill application
- movement refinement under real skiing conditions
- tactical performance development
The objective is straightforward:
remove noise, sharpen clarity, and create breakthroughs that typically take multiple seasons to develop.
Instead of incremental change over time, skiers experience concentrated, high-impact progression in a short, immersive setting.
These camps are designed for skiers who want:
- rapid progression
- technical clarity
- precision coaching
- and a meaningful shift in performance and confidence
Skiing at this level becomes less about trying harder—and more about seeing and executing with precision.
The Big Vision
SkiCademy is not trying to become “just another ski lesson company.”
The vision is much bigger.
It’s about building:
a complete skier development system for recreational skiers.
A system that combines:
- education,
- coaching,
- progression,
- community,
- and real-world application
into one connected pathway.
So skiers stop asking:
“Why do I always plateau?”
…and start saying:
“I finally understand how to improve.”
